In 2008, amidst the turbulent onset of the Global Economic Crisis, I was hired as a contractor by Intermountain Healthcare to do Product Management. With the knowledge that… Continue reading

About Me

My name is Darrell Hansen. I am a family historian focusing on my own family tree and our stories. I have spent my career as a software developer in various roles. I am also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is well known for its support of family history for both religious reasons and for strengthening families. Many of my ancestors joined our church, moved to the United States, and were pioneers who made their homes in Utah, Idaho, and other western states. I have benefited in many ways from my religion and pioneer forefathers. My writing will reflect this background and my gratitude. As I approach retirement and beyond, I want to contribute to my family and to technology in this wonderful world of family history.

I love this tree with its giant roots and the sun shining through the branches. It reminds me so much of family history.
