Darrell & Rose Hansen's Family Roots

Aunt Treek was the most like my Grandma Magdalen. Whenever she would come in to a house she would sing Who Who! Her grandchildren called her Grandma Who Who. She was cheerful, friendly, she loved to cook, her kitchen was decorated in delft blue, and she had delft blue china, and tiles. Her house was charming, and there was a beautiful green and lush backyard. When we would visit, she made little triangle sandwiches on white bread. When my grandma Maggie passed away, I treasured being able to talk to her on the phone, as I felt closer to my grandma. She lived a long productive life. Was involved in her church doing a lot of volunteer work, up until the very end. She was not one to complain. I felt great love from her, even though I didn't see her very often. Some of my fondest memories are when all of the sisters would visit my grandma Maggie and they would all be in the kitchen working on the meal, laughing and speaking in French. I would often be in the livingroom with the uncles and Grandpa Cliff, they would be teasing me about my dirty feet (I refused to put shoes on) and the house felt full of love.
